OTHER
FACILITIES
The Training Center, part of the firehouse built in 2003, is
located at Clinton Avenue & Turner Boulevard.
Special Services, built in 1865 as Engine 5's quarters, is located at 56
Prospect Street between Ferry & Lafayette Streets. This is the oldest building
still in continuous use by the NFD.
The Fire Alarm Office was relocated in 2000 to the Police Communications Center,
at University Avenue and William Street.
The Fire Alarm Line Division is located in the quarters of Special Services, at
56 Prospect Street, between Ferry & Lafayette Streets.
Fire Headquarters, the Arson Squad and the Fire Prevention & Life Safety
Division, built in 1932 as Engine 21's and 26's quarters, is located at 1008-10
18th Avenue at Norwood Street.
The Department Repair Shops are located in the city garage at Empire & Victoria
Streets.
