At 00:59 hours, a two-alarm fire gutted a six-family, three-story, 35-by-65-foot, frame tenement, at 136-38
South 6th Street, between 12th and 13th Avenues. In the above photo, a fireman can be seen working on
the second-floor, rear porch stairway.
