WORKING FIRE STATISTICS
NEWARK, NJ FIRE DEPARTMENT

This report contains statistical information regarding “working fires,” meaning a Signal 11 or greater, that were fought by the Newark Fire Department. Each category is basically self-explanatory. There were a total of 4,180 Signal 11 fires, and 747 multiple alarm fires, for a total of 4,927 working fires for the ten-year period.
